Designing for Real People
Ultimately, this isn't about you. It's about your audience.
That shouldn't sound so strange. They're why you're in business. You hire us because you have a message, service, or product, and we have a way to let people know.
We approach our design with the user in mind, and combine aesthetics with logistics to maximize the participation of your audience. We design for the People. People who are trying to find something, show something, say something, buy something. By understanding who they are, their needs, and how they interact with you or your company, we are able to create better, more powerful designs. Designs that connect you to the people.
Welcome to the Team
The key to a project's success is collaboration.
When you tell us what gets you excited about your project, we get excited too. Likewise, we want you to be excited about what we’re doing to help you reach those goals. When you hire us, you become part of our team. We like to keep communication open, and value constant feedback.
So go ahead, call us. Talk to our president, or the designer handling your project. Let us know what you need, what you’re thinking, how good we’re doing, or how bad we are. It’s this open communication that provides an atmosphere for successful collaboration, and results in a great product that we can all be proud of.
Our Work is Our Passion
We love design. We love concept. We love art.
We love communication.
We spend more time with our computers, paints, inks, markers, keyboards, and mice than with our loved ones. We hang out together in the studio even when we're off the clock—whether we're making origami mosquitoes, paper mache helmets, short films, or (gasp!) doing work. It may sound strange, but there’s a reason we do what we do. That reason is simple—we love what we do—and it shows.
Design allows us to impact lives in a positive way, shaping and reshaping environments, products, and communications. We don’t just make things beautiful, we make them better. So check out our designer resources or take a look at our work, and you’ll see exactly what we’re talking about.
If you’d like Easily Amused to help with your next project, or have any questions, send us an email or a copy of your design brief. Or, if you have a moment, please fill out our client worksheet and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Studio Profile
We are a full service design studio
based in sunny Orlando, Florida.
Easily Amused was founded by James Caruso and James Tryon, who both wanted to see a studio in Orlando that not only produces great design, but also improves their community by bringing creative talents together for collaboration; both professionally and socially. Each designer at Easily Amused has an individual style that is evident in our diverse collection of works. Our outlook here at the studio is always positive, with a good sense of humor and a passion for making great design for everyone, everywhere we can.
James Caruso: Creative Director
Co-Founder of Easily Amused and native of Orlando, James Caruso is accustomed to warm climates—but secretly loves the cold, and wears a scarf whenever he can get away with it. He's a member of Liken, a local arts collective, so he's always experimenting with new types media. From installation art, painting, illustration to building furniture James is always up to something new, strange, and creative.
James Tryon: Art Director
After surviving corporate cubicle life, James Tryon made his way back to sanity and what he loves—Web and graphic design. Co-Founder of Easily Amused, he’s got an eye for design, usability, and always keeps our practices innovative and forward thinking. An avid collector of random musical instruments and thrift-store artifacts, James is always finding something interesting to spark our creativity and stir things up.
Andrew Smalls: Lead Developer
Former Massachusetts inhabitant and in-house programming and accessibility guru, Andrew now calls Orlando his warm, gator-inhabited home. Also a talented musician, Andrew plays bass and supplies vocals for his own musical endeavors, while lending his talents of audio engineering and sound mixing to Easily Amused' repertoire of capabilities. He also has great taste in cartoons and movies. And that’s a fact.
